Ever wondered where our Gold Vein Quartz gemstones come from?

Gold Vein Quartz - Beta Hunt Mine, Kambalda, Western Australia

Geologically known as native gold, these stunning specimens were formed millions of years ago through powerful geomorphic events. Gold was forced through fractures and faults in quartz rock deep underground, creating these breathtaking formations of gold-veined quartz — a true marvel of nature.

Our gem-quality stones were unearthed in 2018 at the renowned Beta Hunt Mine in Kambalda, Western Australia. After months of careful negotiation, Murray Thompson from Desert Fire Deigns secured a remarkable specimen, which was then masterfully cut into the exquisite Gold Vein Quartz gems you see today.

Exceptionally rare and entirely unique, each gemstone is a piece of nature’s art — carrying the story, beauty, and geological legacy of the Western Australian landscape.

Available as collector’s specimens, polished gemstones, and fine jewellery pieces handcrafted right here in WA — we’re proud to be custodians of these heirloom Australian Treasures.
